Another 5-star experience at Dave’s Genuine Deli. Incredible food and wonderful staff. Sandra was amazing, checking up on our table often, was extremely kind to us, and brought us whatever we asked for. Phani, today’s chef, was very friendly too, and came by to ask how we liked the food, and of course we praised him and his amazing food preparation skills. Our food was outstanding, and tonight’s experience further validates the outstanding customer service provided by both Sandra and Phani at Dave’s Genuine Deli. Attached is a photo of the smoked meat sandwich combo with fries and the roast beef dip combo with onion rings. Just delicious. Come by, say hi, support local, and have a delicious bite to eat.

Holy smoked meat sandwich! I know a thing or two about smoked meat. So when I tasted the Montreal Smoked meat sandwich, I knew right away this was made in-house. Perfect amount of seasoning and smoke to create a second-to-none experience. I can confidently put Dave's Genuine Deli against any deli in this city, or Montreal. Yup, that's right. I said. Take that Montreal! :D Restaurant is set up for a nice lunch or dinner, very clean and bright. Ken served us, and was very knowledgeable about the smoking process, as well as one heck of a host. What can I say, Ken's are awesome. Dave's Genuine Deli is a must try, parking is street only, but par for the course on Avenue Road.

Dave's Genuine is comfort food—pure and simple—especially if you grew up eating deli sandwiches, or Kosher favorites like matzoh ball soup. The turkey club is probably my favorite sandwich of all time, and Dave's Genuine makes a killer one. Best of all, it can be made gluten-free—safe for someone who has Celiac disease, like me. In fact, Dave's Genuine makes a real effort to accommodate gluten allergies because the owner's daughter also has Celiac, so he understands the ins and outs of cross contamination. In my most recent order, Dave's even sent me a free batch of fries with a kind note on it, promising they're prepared separately and fried in their own GF fryer. After trying these fries for the first time—crispy and light, by the way—I knew I needed to write this review. The customer service here is truly impeccable, and so is the quality of the food. Pro-tip: Try the smoked meat, it's insanely good.

I live in the area and pass by all the time so today, I popped in and got a deli platter to share with 2 friends. Delicious, reminds me of visiting Montreal.

This place defines what a 5-star experience is. It's very clean and the food is yummy. We took a BIG sandwich for both of us, and they were kind enough to divide it into two plates. I am almost sure we both got the sides even though we only ordered a single item. The smoked beef in the sandwich was excellent. We also had some potato latkes, which were pretty good. The server was very nice and patient with us and even gave something extra to take home.

I came her with my colleagues for lunch. Oh my goodness! Is all I can really say because the food, service and vibe was so delicious and beautiful! The owner did an amazing job with this place of comfort and delectable food. I had the Smoked meat sandwich which was just succulent, big and savory! Came with perfectly cooked fresh cut fries, a lovely coleslaw and juicy pickle! I also ordered the Big Smoke Turkey Club to go since my colleague ordered it and it's just massive with a fresh onion bun! All the food is MADE IN HOUSE! If you want fresh, cozy comfortable vibes, this is the place to go!!

Holy shit this is so good. I ordered the Reuben a smoked meat sandwich, both “juicy” to my liking (so great that they offer lean option as well)... they were both fantastic!!! Hit the spot. Great portions sizes, high quality meat. Not to mention the fries were perfectly crispy and the homemade beef gravy was outstanding. 12/10 experience.

Really friendly staff and the food was amazing. I got the smoked meat sandwich on an onion bun and after the first bite I was in heaven. The meat melts in your mouth and is packed with smokey flavour. I highly recommend it to anyone who is craving smokey goodness. I will definitely be going back on a regular basis.
